We have made the possession of the Kenmore Elite PRO or French door (LG), a refrigerator with ice maker since May 2007. We are not happy with this product. It has been called the “Energy Star” and this is an important factor in our purchase, but later discovered by the Department of Energy not Energy Star compliant. In fact, even after a change to the board Kenmore, to improve efficiency, the device with almost 60% more electricity, reported that the product label when you buy! Kenmore and LG (the actual maker is) nothing to do with taking this thing back and LG only offers about $ 7/year to compensate for excess energy use, while my actual usage measurement assessed that the excessive energy consumption an additional $ 40/year costs over the term number of kilowatts to draw! The combination of fully responding Kenmore and LG bureaucracy is this illusion that we will never purchase another important instrument of Kenmore and LG.
1/3/2010: Got this refrigerator from Sears yesterday, except in white. Looks really nice and so far is quieter than my older ones. Had a water leak in the door of this fridge on the first day easily moved, but after the tube coil in the refrigerator stopped it. The fast connection to water lines do not like to be bent so that the issue was and is. The device is cooled down quickly and I could have a fridge for an hour after the doors were kept locked. It was hard not to open them to keep their eyes open inwards.
I am not concerned about energy consumption. I wanted a little french door refrigerator with water and ice in the door and he (and the Kenmore version) were the only models that the specifications erfüllt.11.1.2010 Update: I really love this fridge! It is so bright inside. The ice maker keeps me fill my 40oz bottle of water with ice every day, and more general use of other people at home. When a group of people say, as though to that style refrigerators, selected cube is, if some come out devastating effect happened yet, but most of all the dice. If you are really picky just need the cube can be a downfall but it seems to be a problem at all French door refrigerators with ice in the door. You just have to weigh your options / needs. I usually use crushed ice, if I’m at home and cubes in my water bottle so a little bit about my Crushed ice cubes, no problem. Compared to my old refrigerator / freezer (standard freezer on top model), this fridge and freezer a lot more storage space inside the door, however, has less, because the door takes the ice machine room. No big deal, but I would rather have more major storage. I’m really happy with the Kauf.1/19/2010 Update: No more complaints here. Love the fridge and all its functions. Freezer on the bottom is great! Lots of space.
